10 months

Tristan, today you turn 10 months old and mama can not believe all the new and exciting things you are doing! You are now officially crawling like a wild child everywhere! As soon as you are put on the floor you take off, and normally straight for the TV to try and get the DVD player off the stand. At mamaw Robin's you go straight to Skeeter's cage to let her out, and you think it is soo funny. You have 6 teeth and in the process of getting more but mommy can't figure out where the next one's will shine yet. You are developing a wonderful personality and you are just a silly little thing, (I think you get that from your mommy!) You love your mamaw Robin and go to her and Aunt Stacy as soon as you see them, and think your cousin Madilyn is the funniest thing ever! All she has to do is walk in the room to get a laugh out of you! She is loving the fact that you can crawl because you follow her around now as she is on all 4's acting like a horse. So you are now the 'BABY HORSE, and she is the MAMA.' TOO FUNNY! You will eat anything as long as it's not baby food. Some of your favorite things to eat are: Grilled Cheese, applesauce, yogurt, chicken, potatoes, bread, and cheerios. You are already Mr. Independant and have to pick everything up to eat by yourself, you don't like to be spoon fed anymore. Needless to say this takes up a lot of time and MESSY! I think it will only be a short time before you master crawling because you are already off your knees doing the gorilla walk! You think Ozzie is funny and you try and sneak up behind him and grab his tail. Have now realized what doors are and try to open and close them, or beat them up against the door stopper. You absolutley want to ride everything that comes in your site, for example the four wheeler, Papaw Ronnie's Motorcycle(the louder the better suprisingly), the lawn mower, and papaw Jerry rides you on the Tractor and the horse. To sum things up you are truly a very special little man in your family's eyes! I don't know how me and your daddy went 8 yrs without you! You are loved sooo much, by soo many different people and you bring so much joy to each and every one of our lives! I look forward to many more memories and milestones to come! I love you precious baby!

Moving Man

Tristan is now a little man on the go! He has mastered crawling and pulling up all in the same weekend. He has been a busy little bee. He has been trying so hard to crawl the past week with little success, but last night I held his toy in front of him and he took off! We were so excited, but yet very fearful of what's to come with this new adventure. Not to mention it is one step closer to him being a big boy! Where oh where does time go??? I had no clue that he was even trying to pull up. I laid him down for a nap yesterday after church and he laid in his bed for about 45 minutes talking and playing away. He got awful quiet so I peeped in on him to make sure he was FINALLY asleep. Well the little booger was standing in his crib gnawing on the bed rails!!!! Needless to say I was not prepared for this and haven't put his teething gaurd on his bed yet so there are now teeth marks on the bed that is supposed to last him forever!! So until I get one he is camping out in his pack and play. Look out walking here we come!

Summertime Begins

Saturday summer officially opened for us as I took Mr. Tristan to his first day at the pool. Bonnie came over and we went up to Amanda's so he could play with Dayne, Parker, and Bella. Needless to say he LOVED IT! They sat in the kiddie pool for awhile and he got a lot of chewing done on toys, then I decided to try and brave the cold temps of the big pool with him. He immediatley started slapping the water and laughing as soon as we got in. We had a lot of fun and can't wait for many more days by the pool. However I will say it's not the pool trips I'm used to, I didn't get any relaxation and no sun, but I enjoyed seeing the joy it brought to my lil man! Thank you Amanda for letting us come up and play! Ready for round 2 this weekend at Betsy's!

Well I have decided to become a blogger to help track our wonderful family and Tristan, our son's, many many milestones along the way! Just a few things to start off with Travis and will be married for 8 years in August of this year! WOW Time has really flown by through these amazing years and we have really had a chance to have a LOT of fun and enjoy each other. We finally decided it was time to make our family bigger and start having different kinds of fun! I found out I was pregnant in Nov 2008 after only 4 short months of trying! We were so excited and VERY scared all at the same time! My pregnancy was great, no sickness, just tired and really big. Our "not so tiny" Miracle FINALLY decided to make his apperance in the world on July 28th 2009 at 11:30pm, 30 minutes shy of my 2 best friends birthday. After waiting 10 days past my due date, NO I couldn't wait those 30 extra mins. I had to have a C-Section because after 10 months and 10 days I had created a beautiful 10 pounder! We named him Tristan Lane after my two favorite movies, Legends of the Falls, and 8 Seconds.

So now 9 months and 15 days later we have the best thing that could have ever happened to us. I never imagined I could ever love someone or something so much!! He is now the center, and I mean CENTER, of our world and whatever he wants of course it happens!! We are so blessed to have my mother as his babysitter while we are away at work and he is definitley a mamaw's boy. He is trying so hard to crawl now and jiber jabbering away. He is quite the character and I love every minute of his silliness! So for now, this is a bit about us and I hope you will continue to join me to find out more about my amazing 'big' bundle of JOY!!!
