Long Live Daisy!

Travis and T came home the other day with a surprise. A PUPPY! Whatever, I basically said because I knew what was ahead of me, but was told we could take her back if things didn't work out. So we decided to give a go of it. She was a good dog as far as the potty goes. T loved picking her up and calling her "My pup". We decided to name her Daisy because I thought nothing fit her precious face more. She was a mix of different things, and probably would have become the size of beagle or something, which would have been perfect for Tristan. However because he doesn't quite understand the concept of being careful yet, he squeezed and lugged around the poor thing a little to much for her liking so she would run and hide from him. Of course this made him mad because he wanted to hold "MY PUP". This rat race was just tooo much for me right now, with all the other busyness we have in our lives already, so we had to sneak her out of the house back to her original home. :(

I know how could I do this to that sweet little face of hers and my presh lil boy, that "thought" he loved this dog. However we didn't even get to her biting him with her razor sharp teeth and then him hitting her across the room probably. So with much sympathy, the decision was made that it was going to be the best for all! We took her back yesterday and so far he hasn't said anything, so hopefully it will be forgotten as fast as she came and went! :)

My lil cowboy

So as I've said before Travis is really hoping Tristan loves Martial Arts and takes up with it like he has. Well of course I want him to have some of my passion as well, so he has been riding the horses and roping! Watch out I think we have a serious calf roper on our hands, he already knows who to hold the rope and throw it. Thanks to his Uncle "Dude" Chris.

Excuse the picture darkness and quality, you have to be ready for anything so lighting was too good. However, you get my point, I have a future rodeo'er on my hands! better videos to come because this is just too stinkin cute.

Black Belt

It is with tons of excitement for my hubby that I share the news that he has gotten 2 black belts several weeks ago! He has always been in love with martial arts and been in karate since he could walk. In his older married life he kind of took some time away from it. However when he we had Tristan he decided real quick that he needed to step it back up and get back in the groove because he wanted Tristan to learn all he can about it as well. HOPEFULLY! So he has been working and training really hard the past year to withstand the long hard 6 HOUR test! Yes I said 6 hours of physical testing and mental capability. His hard work paid off because he received not only received 1 belt but 2 on the same day for two different styles of Karate he does! So proud of my fighter. More to come when he has his official ceremony at the dojo!

Future Tristan! LOL

Isn't that just too cute!

New Therapist!

This post come with some much relief! I graduated 2 years after I high school with Massage Therapy. After failing the Board test, because of not being young and not at all serious about my future at the time, I gave up on it. I really loved it when I started out in the class. Trying to plan my wedding, working part time, and school really took a toll on me! So I started getting tired of it while in school and lost interest in ever getting my license once out of school. Now 9 years later I have decided to go back to school for nursing. While doing this unfortunatly I can't quit working all together so I though massage would be a good thing to do part time! Sooo after major self discipline and self teaching I went and took my test again and PASSED!! So say hello to a new Massage Therapist. It take about a month to get my license after I have my application and my whole life history sent to them so hopefully I'll be able to start working some where soon. Until then I'm going to be doing family and close friends out of my house. I kind of have mixed emotions about the because it has been so long but I'm hoping to jump back in there and love it like I did at first! Keep your fingers crossed.

PS. I would love to be able to get certified to massage animals but I don't see me getting too much business with that unless I move! :(

New Floors!!

After lots of saving we decided to invest in hardwood floors this spring. We were so excited and ready to get rid of the carpet we had in our house. We are so in love with these floors and made us want to update the decor a bit as well. We have been in this house for 9 years so it was time for a few changes until we can build.

The process

And yes we have changed the safari pillows on the couch! HAHA

Catch up

Seems like I am always playing catch up. Anyways, we have been so busy this summer and have some exciting things taking place. (More to come on that later)!! Seems like all we get done these summer weekends and evenings now is mowing grass! Yes I did say mowing grass. We got us a new zero turn lawn mower last year and I absolutly love it! Call me a country girl. So we decided to try and make some money this year, so we have 4 yards we mow in our development each week, and both our parent's yards. People don't realize what a great, and easy way to get a tan. Since it has been raining fairly decent we have had to mow them 2x a week and I'm a happy girl! HEHE I am out of school for summer break, and Tristan is out of daycare the month of July. Unfortunatly mommy can't stay home and keep him so he's been staying with Whitney. He's in love now I do believe. There are some other exciting things that deserve their own post so I'm going to do a picture catch up!

Getting the mower ready for Summer time!!

Fitness

This is a dredded discussion with me because I am so overweight and never got my prebaby body back and probably never will, butttt I am going to try very hard to get myself back in shape. So last fall I started playing with a Women's league at East Lincoln. The team I am on is alot of the girls I played ball with back in High school so needless to say this brought the kid out in me and I had a blast!! We didn't do to bad either for our first season, we finished 3rd out of 8 teams! Well all of the girls are kind of like me, needing time for themselves and all enjoying the physical activity in it so we decided to keep it up. We just got finished playing a season of Volleyball, which is my favorite sport of all time! This was also very fun however I missed being outside. In two weeks we will start up our 2nd Softball season and I couldn't be more excited. Mostly because of getting to be outside. Spring is my favorite time of year and I never want to come inside, plus it's getting close to bathing suit time and I need the extra running around those bases to shed a few pounds!
Which brings me too my next point. I've started ZX Fitness in Lincoltnon. They have classes at 5:30 in the afternoon that I like to attend. Monday is Zumba, which I completely love because I LOVE TO DANCE. Tuesdays are cycling, tried this 2 times and not fond of it so much, so I go home and do a Bollywood Dance video. SO FUN! Then on Wednesday is a cardio sculpt class, and Thursdays a Dance fit class. Can't you tell how I like dancing! To me this is a fun way to shed pounds instead of boring weight lifting and all the other fitness crap! LOL
Bring on a skinny new me! HOPEFULLY!
